NH Family Retreat #1 June 10-14, 2008 Come be a part of an amazing week! Families will be refreshed, and STMs (short-term missionaries) will be blessed as they serve! There will be two weeks of Family Retreat in NH offered in 2008! Both weeks are held at the Barbara C. Harris Center, Greenfield, NH. STMs come to retreat the day before families. This Tuesday through Saturday event is a new twist on Family Retreats—it is specifically designed for families of adults. Single adults with disabilities, married couples (where either husband or wife—or both—has a disability) and families with adult children (where mom, dad, or adult child has a disability) are all invited to come! We are designing our program with the interests and needs of this specific group of families in mind. Since most children in New England are still in school during this week, no school-aged children’s programming will be offered in June. Through the Roof Workshop On November 10th, a “Through the Roof” Workshop was held at First Church of Christ in Wethersfield, CT. “An Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorders” was presented by Kim Newgass, who is both the president of the Autism Society of CT, and a follower of Jesus. More than a dozen churches were represented among the 65 people attending. It was a great time of learning and preparation for future ministry!
